Job description

We are looking for an experienced truck driver (Flatbed) to serve our recycling company in a safe and timely manner. Routes are in N. AL only.

Responsibilities

• Transport recyclable materials via flatbed truck to recycling plants from retail and distribution centers

• Must be able to operate a forklift
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and report same to management
• Work with Dispatch to plan routes and meet delivery schedules
• Input “macros” into our automated system for each stage of the loading and unloading process
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Report defects, accidents or violations

Skills

• Proven work experience as a truck driver with flatbed experience
• Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, etc.)
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
• No recent moving or driving violations
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)
• Valid truck driving license and DOT Medical card

Pay: $27.00-$29.00 per hour
